We are committed to transparency regarding our fees.

Below is a breakdown of costs, funding options, and our policies to support your care.

1. Standard Fees & Medicare Rebates

Most clients with a valid GP Mental Health Care Plan (MHTP) are eligible for a Medicare rebate.

Fee Breakdown (Standard 50-minute Consultation)

Full Session Fee$220.00 Medicare Rebate (AMHSW) -$85.20 Your Out-of-Pocket Cost (Gap)$134.80

  • How it works: You will pay the full fee of $220 at the time of your appointment.

  • We process your rebate via Medicare, and the $85.20 is typically returned to you within 24–48 hours.

  • Limit: Up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

2. Chronic Disease Management (CDM)

Formerly known as the EPC plan. If you are living with a chronic medical condition (e.g., complex neuro-divergence, chronic pain) requiring multidisciplinary care, your GP may refer you under this plan.

Fee Breakdown (CDM / EPC Plan):

Full Session Fee$220.00 Medicare Rebate (Approx)* -$61.80 Your Out-of-Pocket Cost (Gap)$158.20

  • Rebate Details: The rebate for allied health services under a CDM plan is generally $61.80 per session (subject to Medicare indexing).

  • Limit: This plan covers a maximum of 5 sessions per calendar year.

  • Note: You cannot use both an MHTP and a CDM rebate for the same session.

3. Private Health Insurance

Many private health funds now cover counselling provided by Accredited Mental Health Social Workers (AMHSW).

  • Is my fund included? Coverage depends on your provider and "extras" policy. We recommend you ask your insurer:

"Does my policy cover counselling provided by an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker?"

  • Important: You cannot claim a Private Health rebate and a Medicare rebate for the same session.

5. Other Funding Streams

  • Victims of Crime (Victim Assist Queensland): We support individuals who have been impacted by violent crime.

    • Existing Claims: We accept clients with current Victim Assist approvals.

    • New Claims: If you have not yet claimed, we can assist you with the application process and provide the necessary supporting reports to help you lodge your claim.

  • NDIS: We accept Self-Managed and Plan-Managed NDIS participants.

  • WorkCover: We support clients recovering under WorkCover claims.

If you have difficulty reading this table or navigating due to a disability, please call us and we will walk you through it over the phone.

4. Cancellation Policy

We value your time and ours. When you book an appointment, that time is reserved exclusively for you.

Notice Period: We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice (2 business days) to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows us to offer the session to a client on our waiting list.

Late Cancellation Fees:

Less than 48 hours’ notice: 50% of the session fee may apply.

Less than 24 hours’ notice or Non-Attendance: 100% of the session fee ($220) will apply.

Important: Medicare and Private Health Funds do not provide rebates for cancellation fees. These fees must be paid in full by the client before further appointments can be booked.
